One day PALS Renewal Class combined with BLS Renewal Class — (9 HOURS TOTAL)

Intended Audience – Healthcare Providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who are responsible for the assessment and management of Pediatric pre cardiac arrest, cardiac arrest, post arrest care and stroke and are required to hold a PALS course completion card for their position.

The Course reflects the current science in the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.

Basic Life Support training reinforces healthcare professionals’ understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.

PALS is an advanced, Instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac arrest care pertaining to pediatrics. Skills are taught in a large group session and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.
